Steps in Freedom
BOOKS  2

The Clock and the Prophecy is a novel, e-book aimed at the juvenile and young teen reader.  His book is a story of a boy and girl, both twelve-years old that discover a magical grandfather clock in the boy’s basement through which they bring back to life Benjamin Franklin.  The story describes Franklin's trials of adjusting to and coping with our modern life, be it technology or culturally related.  The children help him fulfill a mission amidst great danger to help the Oneida Indian tribe who were favorable to the cause of the American Revolution.

The novel, besides providing an entertaining story, conveys historical facts about the help the Oneida tribe gave the Americans during the Revolutionary War.  The novel also has Franklin presenting facts about some signers of the Declaration of Independence that suffered greatly in the struggle for freedom.
